Imagine yourself standing on the sled runners as a team of incredible Alaskan Huskies glide you along primeval forest trails and across frozen lakes in the East’s last great wilderness….. with Mt Katahdin, Maine’s highest peak, looming spectacularly on the horizon ! You are mushing through Maine’s fabled “North Woods” and there is nothing quite like it !

Alaskan Huskies are incredibly vigorous animals and truly one of the wonders of the natural world. Their ancestors were bred in Interior Alaskan villiages, before the advent of snowmobiles, where native hunters depended on the strength and endurance of their dogteams.  Ours are friendly, even-tempered and sociable animals that love attention and interacting with humans and each other.

But what they love the most is to run and pull…..and with an energy and enthusiasm that is amazing !

No other animal on earth, wild or domestic, can match the power, grace and endurance of the legendary Alaskan Husky….!
